Out of season, Coigach is lovely and welcoming, just try the pub quiz at the Summer Isles bar. We ventured no farther than "The Alt" at Ledmore for an evening meal. Excellent. Forgot our binoculars, big mistake"

June : "Arrived in warm sunshine which lasted for one and a half days. The rest of the week has been chilly with a little rain and some sunshine. It did not stop us from exploring this lovely area and eating our sandwiches on the saddle of Stac Pollaidh. In between while, we enjoyed the warmth and comfort of this cosy home. Many thanks."

"Our second visit to Reiff was as wonderful as the first. We've had very mixed weather but have walked most days. The walks around Lochinver are good. the bird watching has been excellent, several eagles and divers. We look forward to our next visit."

July : "2 weeks of paradise, has been total "chil". Spent days on the headland.................Sun every day in some form or other."

"We have had two great weeks here in this perfect cottage surrounded by such beautiful scenery, despite mixed weather for the first week or so................ What luck finding the cottage on the internet, we hope to return."

August : "We have had only one day of rain out of two weeks. We saw a basking shark right under the pier at Badentarbet. Been kayaking round the beaches when it was calm and fishing from the pier.............We have had a lovely time, we are very sad to leave."

"We were watching a basking shark and the pollock chasing sprats when three dolphins swam past, so close we could have almost touched them. .................We have also been fishing and swimming, biggest fish was a 6lb pollock which we returned to fight another day. Also saw plenty of deer along with buzzards and peregrine falcons. Also we were checked out by a sea otter while fishing the rocks to the right. All i all a fantastic holiday and will recommend it on my fishing website, www.fishingmarks.co.uk "

September : "Great cottage, well stocked and what a view! Weather has been fantastic, perfect for getting out there and enjoying the hills and the sea. A meal at the Summer Isles hotel worth a special treat."

"A lovely warm and homely cottage, just right for relaxing after a hard day's mountain climbing! ...........Walked along the headland, brilliant views. Stac Pollaidh fantastic as were Cul Mor and Cul Beag. Golden Eagle and buzzards. Knocvken Crag interesting. The walk from Kirkaig to the falls and beyond gives brilliant close up views of Suilven. A great holiday in every way.
